MAR 26 vs Illinois · 4:45
not the shot you want to end up with in a transition situation. get to the rim or bring it back out.
@oakcask
MAR 26 vs Illinois · 6:31
he's got to finish, but there are so few humans in the world that can do this
@oakcask
MAR 26 vs Illinois · 28:34
ridiculous speed, and perfect exeuction of the stampede cut by Flemings
@oakcask
MAR 26 vs Illinois · 35:26
Flemings get a LOT of elevation on his jumper - he's very capable of getting off decent looks in late-shot-clock situations. major shot creation upside.
@oakcask
MAR 26 vs Illinois · 41:47
there's just no way to stay in front of Flemings 1-on-1. he may benefit a lot from NBA spacing.
@oakcask
MAR 26 vs Illinois · 52:56
just a very rough spacing environment for kingston flemings
@oakcask
MAR 26 vs Illinois · 67:28
really just no room for flemings to create. not a great context for his offensive skillset.
@oakcask
MAR 14 vs Arizona · 3:30
Nice leading pass here from Flemings off the dribble hand off to find the roll man. Excellent defensive awareness from Koa Peat to tag the roll man and then break up the pass and force the ball out of bounds.
@lenymo
MAR 14 vs Arizona · 5:22
Flemings is always engaged off ball
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 14 vs Arizona · 7:51
Flemings probably over-helped a little here and it was probably a foul but the defensive motor is good to see.
@lenymo
MAR 14 vs Arizona · 30:47
This dig by Flemings gives me so much joy
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 14 vs Arizona · 31:50
Lots of tweens and crosses from Flemings on offence. Sometimes he gets some real space off them as here but sometimes it can feel like he isn't really creating advantages. I also worry that he struggles to really get up in traffic and finish.
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 14 vs Arizona · 33:27
Like here, he gets such a clean advantage and gets all the way to the basket and then... can't quite get enough lift?
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 14 vs Arizona · 38:05
Deflection demon
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 0:49
Beautiful defensive technique and positioning into a nice contest here from Kingston
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 1:30
Flemings has one of the most fun micro-skill packages on defense
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 1:31
@redgrouper
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 2:20
Quick rip closeout attack, avoids the weakside dig and knifes past the big for a dump off. Any time a teenager is drawing three defenders it's an eye opener
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 4:47
If Flemings is gonna pull here, I think he needs to have more confidence to pull straight off the dribble. Shuffling the feet just allows council to get a better contest.
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 4:59
I like the idea to decelerate and maybe draw a foul on this fast break, but you still gotta get up more than that
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 9:44
Beautiful defense by Peterson, Flemings barely able to create any space. Big development area for Kingston will be learning to play with pace and developing a hostage dribble
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 14:43
Kingston struggles to beat this hedge, he's a bit too happy to kill his dribble and reset. Good for a role player, don't love it for a star
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 14:55
Another look at the hedge, this time with better results, but he needs a stronger move here to score first otherwise NBA defenses will learn to read this
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 15:59
Textbook pocket pass
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 22:43
These are the worrying plays with Flemings. He just has such a clean look but he can't really get up and finish the way you'd like, ends up kinda winging up this shot
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 22:44
@redgrouper
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 33:36
@redgrouper
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 34:05
@redgrouper
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 38:56
@redgrouper
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 40:59
@redgrouper
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 43:02
@redgrouper
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 46:35
@redgrouper
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 47:15
@redgrouper
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 58:00
@redgrouper
MAR 13 vs Kansas · 61:08
@redgrouper
MAR 12 vs BYU · 4:42
Interesting to see Dybantsa uninterested in challenging Flemings.
@oakcask
MAR 12 vs BYU · 12:14
Perfectly executed stampede cut by Flemings. This is particularly deadly with his speed. Great physicality creating space with the bump.
@oakcask
MAR 12 vs BYU · 32:04
Again, just not a lot of people who can do this. Flemings needs tow ork on a lot of parts of his game but he's starting with this ability and he's young enough to grow into it.
@oakcask
MAR 12 vs BYU · 33:54
This is what Flemings will have to grow into. What does he do with the second man after he beats his first?
@oakcask
MAR 12 vs BYU · 43:32
Not sure what to make of some of these attempts from Flemings. His finishing is less consistent than you'd expect given his bounce.
@oakcask
MAR 12 vs BYU · 44:53
again another downhill drive after the pick n roll by flemings. hes gonna be so lethal in the nba with open spacing in these. almost unstoppable speed if you switch on the big man
@redgrouper
MAR 12 vs BYU · 47:49
like to see kingston push a bit harder here. could get a wild open lay up. but probably cuz of houston coaching he decides to slow down to half court offense, still very tight handles around the screen to get the bucket
@redgrouper
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 0:18
Nice off ball work here from Kingston to keep the ball moving. He can play lead guard or off guard.
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 2:13
Nice crossover but the shot looks ugly here. Flat as a washboard, comes off his hands wrong. Transfer of energy looks ok though
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 3:04
Kood job from Kingston to tag the roll but he's gotta get his body in front here. Also silly foul
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 5:30
Nice patience and finishing on the cut here
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 7:01
Flemings knows how to keep an advantage alive and his motor shines through here even though he doesn't get the putback
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 8:04
This is some really nice PnR operation
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 8:36
Demon in transition
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 9:27
I wanna see him be ready to shoot here on the catch. You know there's no space inside, why attack downhill and settle for the midrange?
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 9:58
Watch how active Flemings is here defensively. Jumping up on ball handlers and stunting like crazy at the nail
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 11:09
Flemings does not like seeing second line help on his drives. But with a floor-spacing 5 man...
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 11:46
Great read on the low man here by Kingston, finds the open shooter
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 15:20
Kingston times his double poorly here, but at least he sprints back to his man
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 15:31
Great pocket pass, tugler kinda wastes the advantage
@letsgohawksbaby
MAR 7 vs Oklahoma State · 18:07
Kingston gets into trouble on this play because he doesn't want to just pull it from 3 off the catch
@letsgohawksbaby
FEB 23 vs Kansas · 7:40
Beautiful pass.
@oakcask
FEB 23 vs Kansas · 25:35
Flemingss is so athletic, but he tends to fly around the rim too much versus going straight at the goal.
@oakcask
FEB 23 vs Kansas · 37:27
Really good transition D by Peterson against a great transition player in Flemings.
@oakcask
FEB 23 vs Kansas · 43:12
Again, great D by DP. The strength deficit puts Flemings in a tough spot. Doesn't seem to want to create contact on the drive.
@oakcask
FEB 23 vs Kansas · 60:48
This time Flemings initiates contact and gets the and-1. This is what you want to see more of.
@oakcask
FEB 23 vs Kansas · 63:24
These shots just aren't going to fly in the NBA. Get to the rim or pass out, no full-speed midrange off the dribble.
@oakcask
FEB 7 vs BYU · 45:38
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 9:52
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 26:18
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 27:04
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 32:09
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 37:44
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 43:28
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 45:07
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 47:26
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 49:55
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 59:02
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 61:35
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 62:18
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 62:46
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 65:38
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 65:45
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 71:36
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 73:23
@redgrouper
JAN 3 vs Cincinnati · 79:26
@redgrouper
