Truly fantastic pass by Mara. He has great feel but his length unlocks a lot of angles not available to...basically anyone else on earth.

Nice touch by Morez on the finish.

Mara gets moved quite a bit here. Lower body strength definitely an area of improvement.

Morez' motor is such an asset. Playing hard is a skill.
@oakcask
Morez Johnson Jr.

Not sure what Mara is doing here. He needs to go up with this immediately.

13:27
Tough close-out in space here but not great execution by Mara. Gets faked way out of the play, can't recover. Nice move by Karaban.

Not the prettiest, but nonetheless good self-creation by Morez.
@oakcask
Morez Johnson Jr.
16:41
Backpedal here by Morez is mechanically very clean, but he ends up giving too much space for the floater.
@oakcask
Morez Johnson Jr.
17:58
Morez is barely in frame when Yaxel picks up his dribble, yet ends up with the bucket. Unbelievable.

Mara in deep drop. He doesn't really get out to the shooter here, though you can argue his length is still disruptive. Borderline.

This time Mara does a better job of walling off and gets the block on Reed. Big-time play.

Awesome hands by Mara. He doesn't do a ton of rim rolling but I think the upside is there because his hands are so good (and he's such a huge target).

Mullins doesn't cash the floater but another rough close-out for Mara. I think he's actually OK quickness-wise but he needs to improve his technique because he's going to be put in these actions constantly in the NBA.

Not fully on the money, but this is a lefty pass off the dribble from Mara. There aren't a lot of NBA centers making this pass.

There are TWO blue jerseys between Morez and the rim when Yaxel pull ups, and yet he still creates an extra possession. Just love this guy's hustle.
@oakcask
Morez Johnson Jr.
38:02
Again, other players just don't have these angles. I think Mara's passing can be weaponized even more in the NBA.

This is good defense. Mara is just too big and his passing makes it hard to double. He's an underrated offensive player.

47:56
Mara REALLY doesn't want to come out of the paint, but he does a good job playing cat-and-mouse long enough to give Yaxel time to recover.

63:34
Another ridiculous hustle play by Morez. I'm not sure what level he can reach in the NBA, but he's going to be absolutely beloved by the fanbase of whatever team drafts him.
@oakcask
Morez Johnson Jr.
66:47
Watch Morez go straight through a box-out for the tip-in.

Amazing sequence from Karaban. Not a super athlete but he's very big.
