4:37
good effort by Philon to recover and get a good contest on Acuff from behind the play
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
5:31
great body control by Acuff here in transition; the micro-change in direction gets him an easy look at the rim. watch his hips.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
6:24
acuff will have to eliminate these types of shots from his game at the NBA level.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
7:46
acuff gets stripped here but his handle and first step are so smooth. just effortless beating his man.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
11:18
doesn't make the shot, but acuff effortlessly getting into the lane going LEFT is very impressive. as he gets stronger he probably gets a better finish attempt up here.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
12:58
fantastic body control on the leaner from meleek thomas. impressive.
@oakcask
Meleek Thomas
16:44
very impressive lefty pass from acuff. this is an extremely difficult pass at that distance, off the bounce with the off hand.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
17:14
i'd like to see philon get a rim attempt up here. his lack of strength at this stage may make him reluctant to challenge a bigger defender, but he's sacrificing an advantage.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
18:16
excellent PnR process here from Philon. the push dribble into the pocket pass is very advanced stuff. this is a dunk in the NBA.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
23:50
very impressive processing from philon on this kick-out. advanced pass.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
24:30
watch how low he gets on the blow-by! textbook.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
29:01
Brazile putting his insane 7'4" wingspan to good use
@oakcask
Trevon Brazile
29:25
more solid process from Philon - goes good to great, turning a 3PA into a wide open layup for his big. nice manipulation of the defender for the dump-off.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
31:34
more great movement shooting from meleek thomas. he gets into his shot form very cleanly off the move.
@oakcask
Meleek Thomas
35:44
not a great attempt on an otherwise nice drive from Brazile. has to use his body more to create space.
@oakcask
Trevon Brazile
37:19
EXCELLENT PnR process from Philon. he's so smooth.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
38:32
again, watch how low he gets. philon is 6'2.5" barefoot, he's not a tiny guard. very impressive flexibility and body control.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
42:00
ridiculous footwork here. in total control.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
45:22
philon is a tough cover, but this level of defensive effort is not going to cut it from Acuff. can't give up a straight line drive.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
Darius Acuff Jr.
51:45
philon measured only 176lb at the combine, but he's strong as hell. watch him move a much bigger defender. he understands how to use leverage.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
56:58
acuff is going to tear up bad defenders from day 1 in the NBA. way too strong going to the hoop. the question is whether he'll be able to reliably create high-efficiency looks as a full-time lead guard.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
59:16
again, just effortless going left. 19-year-olds are not supposed to be able to do this. acuff is a problem.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
60:44
overdribbling here from philon, who's usually a great passer. misses the roller on the first look and then tries to squeeze an angle that isn't there.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
62:24
textbook use of the off arm to ward off Allen and get to his spot. Acuff is so advanced.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
68:29
C'MON MAN
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
68:36
uncharacteristically sloppy last play here from philon. might be fatigue.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
71:52
blink and you miss it, but ridiculous pass from acuff. left-right crossover straight into right handed bullet pass to the corner. truly gifted passer.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
75:06
philon guarded acuff well this game, but gets beat pretty badly here. acuff again totally comfortable going left.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
Darius Acuff Jr.
76:03
no one's staying in front of Acuff 1:1, but Amari Allen has to do a better job than this of at least giving him a bump. he has to be an impact defender to make it in the NBA.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
Amari Allen
78:47
tough possession for Brazile, getting totally turned around off the dribble.
@oakcask
Trevon Brazile
100:43
again, Philon BODIES Brazile, who has 50 pounds and 9 inches of wingspan on him. Philon is deceptively strong.
@oakcask
Labaron Philon Jr.
Trevon Brazile
107:01
this is why Brazile is going to get drafted in spite of a number of ugly plays in this game.
