Really pretty pass in transition from Ament. Height allows him to see everything on the floor.

Would love to see a little more physicality from Brazile here. He's too big to go up this soft.
@oakcask
Trevon Brazile
8:21
Great block from Acuff. When he wants to impact the game defensively he can.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
12:50
Acuff again with the awareness, quickness and hands. All the tools are there. Defense is about desire for him.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
13:16
Nice pressure defense by Thomas. Ament is not really ready to dribble in the open floor in the NBA.

15:52
Awesome hands and quickness from Gillespie.
@oakcask
Jakobi Gillespie
16:41
Acuff rotates to offer help, but his dig is so half-hearted. "Nonchalant" is not a word you want to be associated with defensively.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
25:22
Acuff gets screened off here, but makes a good effort to get back in the play for a contest.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
28:26
Acuff jogs rather than sprints back, leaves his man wide open for a corner 3. Really just no excuse.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
31:53
Not even sure what to say about this.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
32:16
What exactly is Acuff doing here defensively?
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
32:58
Acuff gets stripped, OK, it happens; but doesn't get back in the play. Leaves his teammates to play 4:5.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
34:49
These little passes are one of my favorite parts of Acuff's game. The distance, speed and accuracy off the dribble is insane. Real weapon.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
40:41
Acuff (top left) loses his man even though he's not in any action; gives up wide open 3.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
41:19
Acuff matadors rather than moving his feet on the screen action. 2/10 effort level.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
41:56
Acuff isn't guarding his man, nor is he coming to help at the rim. Just standing in space.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
50:00
This is why in spite of the defense Acuff is a lock for the top 10. There just aren't many players who look like this.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
50:55
Acuff makes a big show of getting into a defensive stance, then immediately dies on the screen and ends up 15 feet behind the play.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
51:18
Acuff doesn't stop ball, never gets into a stance in transition.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
57:39
Just lol
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
61:32
Much better defensive possession here. It's obvious that Acuff has the tools to defend if and when he feels like it. He slides just fine.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
76:01
Acuff just...concedes the layup in transition?
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
81:48
This is very well-defended. Just too smooth getting into his shooting motion.
@oakcask
Darius Acuff Jr.
88:32
Ament just doesn't have the core strength yet to get an on-balance look out of these drives. He loses too much energy starting and stopping.
